Future Frictions helps to reflect on the ethical implications of using technologies in cities. It is an interactive scenario-based tool to explore how prioritizing certain values in smart cities can ultimately impact our everyday lives, now and in the long term.

Future Frictions is an initiative by a group of researchers from University of Twente and Utrecht University. It is a result of their collaboration with Creative Coding Utrecht, which was made possible by the NWO project, “Designing for Controversies in Responsible Smart Cities”.
