The round and oval shapes of Egg-shaped construction are a reaction to the strict horizontal elements of the architecture of the fifties. By creating ‘dynamic constructions’ like this, Constant shows that the city of the future can take on a creative and ever-changing form.
New Babylon has therefore not a fixed form, Constant only makes suggestions for the way in which the new world can be arranged. It is up to the people to creatively shape New Babylon, depending on the needs that exist.
